Hi! I’m Mikel (mǐh-kél)
I’m not a famous scholar or big-name Christian speaker.
I’m just a regular guy who’s had the honor of studying under and working with expert Christian apologists while earning my Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics at Biola University and my Master of Theology (Th.M) at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS).
Today, I’m a doctoral student in the New Testament department of DTS where I specialize in Historical Jesus studies. I also serve as Cultural Engagement specialist at the Hendricks Center, managing the Table Podcast and producing cultural engagement articles with Darrell Bock for the theological journal, Bibliotheca Sacra.
I love college students and teach Christian Apologetics and World Religion as an adjunct professor at William Jessup University. I help Christians defend the faith with confidence.
I was born in Illinois but grew up in the Philippines. Growing up in a Christian home, I had a bunch of questions about the faith: “Can I trust what the Bible says about Jesus?” “Is Christianity really true?”
During my teenage years, I began to discover that there are good answers to the hard questions. The more I looked into the case for Christianity, the stronger my faith became. I want that same confidence for you.
So why read my blog?
My articles, podcasts, videos, and other resources can help you—and your church—defend the faith with confidence.
On this site, you’ll discover some of the most important lessons I learned during my graduate work in apologetics, theology, my current doctoral research and practical training tips from over 15 years of teaching apologetics to students and adults—in a way that’s really accessible.
It’s all good! Start off with my top 10 articles on the basics of defending the faith.
